Child poverty estimates

There are various global estimates on child poverty, and these differ based on the definition of poverty. For example, child poverty can be measured based on income/consumption poverty as nationally defined (monetary poverty) and disaggregated by the child population or based on the international poverty lines of PPP $2.15/$3.65 or $6.85 disaggregated by the child population. They can also be based on the actual deprivations households face (multidimensional poverty) and the deprivations children face directly (multidimensional child poverty).

Below is an overview of the latest global estimates of child poverty based on these different approaches. Check also our repository of child poverty reports from accross the world and the different child poverty databases available.
